I'm the author of two young adult novels, High Dive and Light Years. My third novel, Kindred, comes out February 8, 2011.



I currently live in Florida's Tampa Bay with my family and bilingual dog. We regularly see turtles, armadillos, rabbits, bald eagles, snakes and, of course, alligators, in our yard. With this kind of inspiration just outside my door, my fourth novel will take place in Florida, making it the first time I've written about a place the same time I actually lived there!
